Oatmeal Scotchies

  • 1 cup flour

  • 1 tsp soda

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ½ tsp cinnamon

  • 1 cup butter, softened (Crisco buttery stuff-ness)

  • 3/4 cup sugar

  • 3/4 cup brown sugar

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 3 cup oats

  • 12 oz. pkg. Butterscotch Chips


  1. Preheat oven to 375.

  2. In small bowl combine flour, soda, salt, and cinnamon; set aside.

  3. In large bowl combine butter, sugars, eggs, and vanilla; beat until light and fluffy.

  4. Gradually add flour mixture. Stir in oats and butterscotch chips.

  5. Drop by tablespoonful onto ungreased cookie sheet.

  6. Bake 10 minutes.

Makes 4 dozen cookies.
